One of our little Burrowing Owl friends from the Phoenix Zoo. They were NOT cooperative, yesterday, flying or running off almost every time I pointed the camera at them. They were, however, more cooperative than their neighbors, the Prairie Dogs, who all went underground and stayed there.
Hi Dave - great story - do you have to pay to go to the zoo or do they now let you in for free cuz you are telling the world about what zoo you go to & show all of what they have there - next question - when are you going to move in there forgive me - I just got done being a tour guide for the Planet of Green - this ia great title - & a very good shot but the owl does look like you called it - humor is good - take care -
Yeah, I wonder if they would make me some kind of deal for the publicity. But, it doesn't cost me anything to get in, because I have an annual membership. These days, it costs me a few bucks in gas, though. I actually wouldn't mind moving into the zoo It's probably the closest thing to an oasis there is in Phoenix.
As for the owl, he glared at me, then ran and hid

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!

Usually the Prairie Dogs at the zoo pretty much ignore the visitors, so I was surprised when they hid.
