Another shot that turned out really badly. I didn't have time to put on the polarizer, so the contrast between the background vegetation and the subject was too extreme. So, I photoshopped the heck out of it, with mediocre results. But, I'm uploading it because that face just has to be shared.

It's actually a young Gerenuk Antelope, a very elegant and beautiful species from most angles, but is that not the perfect model for an alien race?

It does look alien and so darn cute! I know you said you PS'd the heck out of it, and you weren't really happy with it, but I really like it. =D

The geometry on the frame is great. The animal divides it into three shapes and provides a cool symmetry. The fact that it's a face adds appeal, but for me, that's secondary.

Yes, they really are beautiful animals. Unfortunately, they were all out in the blazing sun, so I don't have any good "normal" shots of them. I wasn't that thrilled with the PS results, but I guess it works. Thanks :)
