Just trying to capture the golden light of sunset. I can't see the horizon from my home, but its effects are visible high up in the trees.

I'm only guessing as to the species of the tree, because there's no one to ask. It's mindboggling how little people around here know about the life around them.

Looks like a ponderosa (Pinus ponderosa) to me.
It must have been a beautiful sunset.
